Some of what we install carries a manufacturer warranty. Some carries an honest longevity expectation instead. We'll always tell you which one you're getting, and we won't dress the second up as the first.
A warranty is a documented promise from the manufacturer. A longevity expectation is our honest estimate based on the product and this climate. Both are useful. They're not the same thing, and any shop blurring the two is worth questioning.

Film warranties cover manufacturing defects — yellowing, cracking, blistering, delamination, adhesive failure. They do not cover impact. If a rock gouges your film, that's the film doing exactly what you bought it for, not failing.
Replacing a damaged section is normal service, and it's a far better outcome than a repaint and a Carfax entry. This is standard across every PPF brand on the market, GSWF and SVG alike. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something.

Two films, both manufacturer-backed. Defender Platinum is what goes on nearly every job; SVG is the colored option when you want the vehicle to change color as well as be protected.
Covered: yellowing or discoloration under normal conditions, cracking, blistering, peeling, delamination, hazing or loss of clarity, staining from environmental contaminants.
Not covered: impact damage, accident damage, improper washing, neglect, brush car washes.
Registered with GSWF directly rather than through us, so coverage doesn't depend on this shop still being here in ten years.

Not covered: the same exclusions as every film — impact, accidents, neglect, brush washes.
Color fade is the covered failure mode here, where clear film warranties talk about yellowing. Same principle, adapted to a pigmented layer.
RV and trailer film is a heavier 10-mil weight than the 7.5–8.5 mil used on cars, and carries whichever warranty comes with the film you choose — same terms as above.
Cerakote ceramic coating carries a five-year warranty, and you leave with a physical warranty card. Not a verbal assurance, not something you take our word for — a card in your hand when you collect the vehicle.
That's worth saying plainly because ceramic coating warranties are frequently overstated in this industry. Plenty of shops advertise ten years on a product that has no manufacturer backing at all. If a shop won't hand you documentation, there probably isn't any.
Separately from the warranty, how long a coating performs depends on the package and how the vehicle is cared for: two to three years on Essential, five to seven on Premium, seven-plus on Elite.
We could dress these up. We'd rather tell you what they are.
The manufacturer rates RV applications at two to three years, and we quote that rather than inflating it. A rig stored uncovered in Arizona sun will sit at the bottom of that range; one under a roof at the top. Storage matters more than the product does.
Five to seven years for most customers. Cerakote is built for gelcoat, but how often the boat is used, how it's stored, and how it's rinsed after lake days all move that number more than the coating itself does.
Because a warranty you can't produce paperwork for isn't a warranty. If we say five to seven years and you get six, that's honest. If we said ten and you got six, you'd have been misled — and you'd be right to be annoyed.
The work. If something isn't right with an installation we've done, tell us and we'll look at it. That's separate from a product warranty and it isn't limited by one.
Every warranty here is conditional on reasonable care, and the exclusions are the same across both films: brush car washes, harsh chemicals, neglect. None of that is unusual — it's standard across the industry — but it's worth knowing before rather than after.
Think of it like tire mileage ratings. The number assumes you rotate them. Nobody's trying to catch you out; the number just doesn't hold if the basics are skipped.
Harsh detergents strip surface properties over time. Our Code 4 Soap is made for coated paint; any quality pH-neutral wash works.
The fastest way to put swirls into coated paint and to lift film edges. Touchless is acceptable, hand washing is better.
At least twelve inches from any film edge. Close-range pressure at an edge is how lifting starts.

It depends on the manufacturer's terms, and many film warranties are non-transferable. Get in touch before you sell and we'll confirm exactly where yours stands rather than guess. Either way the protection stays on the vehicle and the buyer benefits from whatever life is left in it.
Damage caused by brush car washes is typically excluded, yes. Touchless washes are generally acceptable. Hand washing with pH-neutral soap is always the best option for both the protection and the coverage.
No. Reduced beading is normal as a coating ages and doesn't mean it's stopped working — the UV and chemical protection are still doing their job. A ceramic maintenance spray restores the beading. If you're concerned about how a coating is performing, bring it by and we'll look at it.
