Frequently Asked Questions About PPF

Get clear answers to the most common questions about paint protection film installation and care in Arizona.

Yes, more so than in many other climates. Arizona's combination of intense UV rays, frequent highway driving with loose gravel (think trips up the I-17), and abrasive dust storms creates a perfect storm for paint damage. PPF is the only solution that provides a durable, physical barrier against these threats.

When installed correctly, Suntek PPF is virtually invisible. Our use of a digital plotter for precise patterns and our technique of wrapping edges where possible means there are no unsightly seams. The film is optically clear and actually enhances the depth and gloss of your car's paint.

Yes, and we highly recommend it. This is the ultimate combination for protection and ease of maintenance. The PPF provides the physical shield against impacts, while the ceramic coating on top adds extreme gloss, incredible hydrophobic (water-repelling) properties, and makes cleaning effortless. Ask us about our combined PPF and ceramic coating packages.

Caring for PPF is simple. We recommend waiting 7 days before the first wash. After that, you can wash the car as you normally would. Hand washing with a pH-neutral soap is best. You can use a pressure washer, but keep the nozzle at least 12-18 inches from the film's edges. The self-healing top coat means you won't need to worry about light swirl marks from washing.
